I can't reproduce this easily. But during my fine tune experiments, a few times I was able to get the button to lock into its "long press" functionality. Once locked in, I would hover my mouse (unclicked) over the button and it would do the fast scroll through values. And there is no way to undo it from there forward. It seems the timer did not get killed for whatever reason.
