	<p class="lead">I am an <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://pni.princeton.edu/apply/postdocs/cv-starr-fellowship">C.V. Starr Postdoctoral Fellow</a> (ex <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://www.embo.org/the-embo-communities/embo-fellows/">EMBO</a>) at the <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://pni.princeton.edu/">Princeton Neuroscience Institute</a> (2021—), working under the joint supervision of <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://www.falknerlab.com/">Annegret Falkner</a> and <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://murthylab.princeton.edu/">Mala Murthy</a>, focused on the neuronal dynamics underlying naturalistic social communication.</p>
		
	<p>My graduate work with <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://www.whitlocklab.org/">Jonathan Whitlock</a>, on neuronal representations of posture in higher-order rodent cortices (2015—2019), was completed at the <a style="text-decoration: underline" target="_blank" href="https://www.ntnu.edu/kavli">Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience</a> in Norway.
	
	<p>Activity patterns generated by nervous systems appear stochastically linked to animal behavior, and the main purpose of my work is to shed light on such relationships. 	<p>Some of my favorite pastimes, covered in the <a style= "text-decoration: underline" href="https://bartulem.github.io/chronicles/">chronicles</a> section, include crafting a semi-fictional novel, surveying short films, enjoying pisco sour and enduring perpetual misery w/ Manchester United.</p>
