Can you add some usage sample and a rundown of the variables with a single example?

The lack of documentation was also frustrating for me, but I've finally ironed out a working config. Have you made any progress standing up a box and piping logs to it? There are a few minor changes I had to make, and I'm in the process of extracting my changes from the role itself.
