Tokens: null network prevents execution

In Safari when this hook returns null the UI for Tokens does not get rendered.

What should be rendered? How to proceed?

I could use a default value for rinkeby but that would only fix the rendering issue, not the fact that the user does not have a network, probably because they don't have a provider.
