In the documentation of API reference (1.4.x) -> Databases -> Update document the argument data is missing in the sample code.

@eauw I checked database and other update api. It is common pattern followed in all update api.
I think data object in database api is custom object where user can provide their defined data.

Please Note: This is all my assumptions. And appwrite team can provide more information on this.

We're aware of this. The docs currently only show required param, but we've decided to change that starting version 1.5. So this is in works.
