Are there any plans to keep a branch of DataFusion roughly compatible with arrow-rs main/HEAD?

I wanted to test out #6197 but found that even if I path arrow to point to git but found that DataFusion is (unsurprisingly) not compatible with arrow-rs 53.

I guess my only option is to make my own branch of DataFusion and try to uprev arrow-rs there, but I was wondering if there's any coordinated effort of long lived branch to make this easier / share work across folks wanting to use new arrow-rs changes with DataFusion without waiting ~ 1 month.
