golang/go#19787 proposes adding decimal types to the language. As of this writing, it is tagged Proposal and NeedsDecision.

The proposal process is documented at https://github.com/golang/proposal. It would probably help to have a proof-of-concept implemented using this library, which might also end up in the Go code base in some form.
