Hi,

First of all : thank you very for your work ! I installed several RC instances, and I was desperated when RC team announced they won't allow push etc ... anymore. So I was thinking about switching to Zulip or Mattermost and I saw your post on the RC forum and now I am happy again in my life xD

So I did a test and as I was not receiving test notification. I did two mistakes, one is obvious, the other is less obvious :

1. I did not restart RC (it's written on each line in the admin dashboard but ... yeah I know).
2. I connected my App before configuring/restarting instance. I had to deco/reco to get notifications work.

So I suggest to just add an accurate methodology to avoid any mistake/time loss (especially for you now that RC team push everyone to buy an expensive licence).
