yes, we want to set the environment field for our automation of creating jira tickets for our business needs.

The data set in the environment field is being captured to create some reports so adding the environment field would be of great help to us.

Hey,

I am very sorry that this issue has been open for a long time with no final solution. We work on this project in our spare time, and sometimes, other priorities take over. This is the typical open source dilemma.
