For networks that one doesn't habitually keep open in a client, it can take a while to notice if something goes wrong with a server—changed (untrusted) security certificate, new address/port, etc.
I propose that znc-push offer the ability to hook into IRC connections and disconnections, and notify the configured service when the network connection state changes. Ideally connection and disconnection messages would include the network name, and for disconnections also the error message.
