Okay so I wanted to try out wired vr on my laptop, so I installed alvr using the programs.alvr.enable option and toggled the 'wired vr' option once it was installed. The issue is that it tries to install a version of adb for itself into the read-only nix store. Would it be possible to add an option to use the system's installation of adb? That way I can create a PR for the nixpkgs repo and add adb there so wired vr should work. I understand that this might be a niche usecase so I could try to make a pr with some guidance.
General Troubleshooting
I carefully followed the instructions in the README and successfully completed the setup wizard
