First off I have an android, so my issue is with the android app.
I started to listen to a new book today. Got about 30 minutes into the book before I stopped to get gas for my commute... When I got back into the truck to resume listening, all my progress was reset. I try to skip back to where I was, the book instantly reset back to 0:00 again. I tried to use the 'skip ahead' button to fast forward a few times, the time skipped up for each time I pressed the button, then promptly reset back to 0:00 again. I let it play on its own for a few minutes, pressed pause, instantly jumps back to 0:00.....
I thought maybe the downloaded version was bugged, so I deleted it and streamed it instead. Exact same issue. I got to work (where I am now), and tried to play it via web browser. Works perfectly fine and as expected. I can skip around, play/pause, etc. All works. I tried to play a few other mp4 books, all with the same result.
Server was on v2.19.1, and saw that it had an update. So I updated to v2.19.3 hoping it would fix the issue, but it hasn't. I can play m4b files and mp3 books just fine, all with play/pause working fine in the android app, and can skip around to various places fine... This hasn't happened to me in the past...
For the time being, I'm going to see if I can convert it to m4b just so I can at least listen to it while I wait in hopes for something to be looked at/fixed :D
I'm going to close this... I think I found the issue... All the mp4's that aren't working, are all from the same idiot. . . And I'm also an idiot, cause I didn't bother to read the comments on their posts, and the poster is known for completely messing up the files causing this sort of issue and a few others... After trying a different version of the book, everything is fine...
Apologies for wasting anyone's time with my belief that 'no one could mess this up... right?' lol..
What was the Problem?

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

What was Expected?
Part 1:
The book to actually Pause, and allow me to Resume right where I left off when pressing Play.
Part 2:
To be able to seek to various parts of the book without resetting progress back to 0% and restarting the book.
