This issue refers to the maximum number of unpublished updates an app can have associated with itself in the database at any given time. It does not refer to the frequency of updates.

What is the amount you have in mind?

Probably 3-5 or so by default. I don't see a reason to have more than that unless one is publishing more than a handful of apps.
