I realized these sections on the homepage are meant to be the top-level categories. Should they also link to their respective landing pages? (see #4)

The design would need to be updated to indicate that these are links, if so.

I think this makes a lot of sense. We'd want a way to send people to each topic landing page for more information.

I've added the links to the headings, but kept the headings styled black. Since they're links, they're now underlined:

What if we unlinked those headings?

Clicking on any of them brings you to an intermediate page that lists the subcategories and a list of articles. We need those internal pages in case people click the category in the breadcrumb, but if we removed the links from the homepage we would simplify it by narrowing the options a user has and improve it visually. Plus I think that we don't use that underlined headline style elsewhere.

One concern I have about completely removing the link to the category pages is there wouldn't be any way for a user to view the additional content - only the 3 items that are being highlighted.

Is there another way we could link to these category pages that you would recommend @javierarce ? Like a 'view all' link at the bottom of each section on the homepage? I feel that would add some clutter to the page and wouldn't be ideal.

But we are currently exposing all the subcategories in the home, right? At least, that was the impression I got from the Site Map in this post.

If we removed the links from the headings, users could still click on the subcategories and go directly to their full list of articles. The only thing they would lose is the ability to access a combined list of categories and some of their articles.

I didn't realize it, but yes, almost. Everything except the Block Editor category under Customization.

Since that's the case, I think we can remove the header links 👍🏻
