Thanks for making the video!

I'm afraid that this has something to do with the customised Dual Extrusion CR-10 that you have back in #5064.

Hmmm... because, I tried with the same printers, CR-10 and CR-10s, then imported a custom material at least 3x. I can remove them successfully with no errors. I tried both on 3.6 and on 4.0 Beta. Can you please try adding one of these printers and confirm?

This is what I did:

  1. Add CR-10 or CR-10s
  2. Create a custom material
  3. Export
  4. (Optional) Reset configuration and add the same printer.
  5. Import material again at least 2x
  6. delete the material in Copyright Headers Missing #5.

I'm wondering now if maybe you are seeing a lot of this configuration errors because of that custom dual extrusion printer.

I have your ticket #5064 already pending for discussion with the team when they get back. ;) I'll relate this issue to that as well. I really think they are all related.

I was trying it and now even with my custom printer that bug doesn't happen anymore, I am unsure why.
But trying this I had another problem showing up.
I created a meterial with a ender 3 machine, saved it, imported it again, then I switched the machine to a cr-10, and cura crashed.
I didn't touch my custom machine for this test.
Maybe it is possible using a someway wrong custom extruder definition, cura may crash even while not using it?

I understand that you people at ultimaker can't waste time if there are problems related to non-ultimaker machines though, so just in case anyone here that isn't from the UM team has spare time, I'll leave there the files I created to see if the error lies in anything there.

Sorry I cannot help with the problem @Liger0. I still cannot reproduce the issue in this new scenario you mentioned.

but it's no problem with trying to help out one another. ;) We try to help out when we can - even if it's not an Ultimaker printer. Maybe @LipuFei you may know something about this when you get back from holiday?
