Reproduction steps

Trying to move object on print table. Used move tool. Object often doesn't move but instead makes a black hole in the table. Found that zooming in helps resolve this but sometimes still happens

If you select the object in the Object list (lower left in your screenshot), the Move tool panel should show again. What coordinates does it show?

Nothing changed, still gone in the black hole. I tried all the views and the object. The coordinates doesn't change once gone.

Just playing with it. I opened the same file till 4 times. The first two disappeared. If I clicked on the object in the box, nothing happens. On forth one, the other three gone, found that the third one was active, it would highlight but stay greyed out. #3 would then show the drag arrows on that black box but nothing happened, can't move it. Wish I could give you a movie

Another note: I've seen when I tried to move object, it seemed to sort of drag to an enlarged image, then go in the hole.
Also, found that zoomed at normal level, this happens more often.. Zoomed in, not as bad. I could have 4-5 black holes, everything else slices right

Here's more: Happened to get a screen shot before it disappeared. Trying to move the object, the "handles" for move came off the object and are floating in nowhere and the object will fall into the abiss

Look in the "move" tool panel. The Z coordinate has somehow changed to -5026. Try setting that to 0.

The numbers in the lower-left corner are the size of the bouding-box of the models on the buildplate, not the position.

I sent you a photo of the "lower left corner of the screen", bounding box as you asked for it.

On to the Move Tool Panel. Indeed, it's the Z coordinate that's changing when I try to drag the object. Instead of X/Y moving, the drag box/arrow thing moves and the Z goes wild

This seems to be aggravated by zoom position. Normal starting position is worse. If I zoom in on the buildplate, then it's not as much a problem. Hence, I thought it might be something to do with graphics/resolution. My screen is native 3200x2000. This is a ProArt, Studiobook- ASUS

All seems to be associated with the move tool. I've seen where even if the object is highlited with xyz live, you can not move the object. Sometimes, you have to put the mouse pointer on it 3-5 times before the pointer and object "stick" together.

I have also seen where moving the object (overhead view) changes the size of the object. Not often but I thought at the time, I was doing something different with the move tool.

This didn't happen till I updated my computer and Cura versions since because the version required better graphics..

I saw nvidia released a new driver yesterday, are you running the latest version?

Driver updated, same result. FYI, when I move an object, I drag on the object not one of the xyz handles. Although it seems that the system thinks I'm dragging z.

I think I see what causes this. I'll call it the 'strike' zone on the object where xyz meet. On a small object, the strike zone may be large enough to hit Z using the overhead view when you're really not on the square (Z) of the xyz graphic. Again, overhead view seems to be the issue where I'm seeing this issue. If you try to move the object between the xy junction, that area is all Z. Outside of that, it's less of an issue. Sometimes you can't move the object and have to go back over and over to get a grab on the object and you get part of the Z area (not the black square, around it).

Workaround: don't drag the model by that "strike zone", but just anywhere on the model itself.

Well, that's a DUH! Something to do with that zone, some parts dead and some parts live wrong
