Bridge bots have stopped playing off suit aces when playing the ace would get them a trick. There are cases when you should hold the aces but the bots are holding them too often.

The times I specifically recall were all on defense. There have been a couple times when an opposing bot did not stop me from making a bid. There’s also been a time where my partner bot did not play a winning ace to set the opposing team.

We need a concrete test case here to verify, but this seems likely given our (not so recent) updates to play-of-the-hand on defense. At a minimum the bot should always be willing to play an Ace for the final trick to set their opponent.
