Cere Network

Cere Network is progressing towards its dream to build a decentralized, permissionless, censorship resistant blockchain network that customers and the community use securely and at scale to launch unique digital products and services using serverless web3 infrastructure and data.

Decentralized data clouds and infrastructure are attracting more attention than ever, both because of their promise to transform the industry, but also because transaction fees for this type of blockchain activity are expected to be highly profitable and in strong demand.

As the technology and industry mature, talented providers, builders, and blockchain experts are required to develop and operate robust decentralized infrastructure and data solutions for the future.

Enter... the Cere Network 🎉 Extended Developer Program 🎉

Extended Developer Program

The Extended Developer Program is a Cere backed program offering tech-savvy individuals, teams, and enterprises early access to important changes in the ecosystem.

Through this program, the Cere Network team engages with developers online and IRL at events, collaborating within the community and ecosystem at large to build the future of decentralized data cloud solutions as laid out in the Cere Network Vision 2.0 whitepaper

We work with the community to help us test our code, build client SDKs, identify bugs and security vulnerabilities, and build new tools and integrations with other blockchain projects and initiatives.

We are looking for ecosystem partners to collaborate on funded and incentivized projects with the Cere community. Write to us if this sounds like you!

Getting started

Anyone can participate in ongoing bounties, with the potential to improve their ranking on the community leaderboard and earn CERE token rewards.

To get started, complete the following 3 steps.

  1. Join the one and only Official EDP community on discord
  2. Introduce yourself in #general channel, telling us where you come from and what brought you to the community.
  3. Fill out this registration form so we know a bit more about your background and interests.

Github

The EDP community works within the following 2 Cere GitHub organizations: Cere-IO and Cerebellum-Network. For example, some of the repositories the community are encouraged to work on are:

DDC

DDC is a Decentralised Data Cloud offering services to store, retrieve, accelerate, and manage data to enable real world use cases.

Validator Nodes

Tools and scripts are essential for deploying and managing the Cere Network Validator Nodes.

Freeport

Freeport is a secure digital asset vault and solution suite for NFT-backed assets.

NFT Commerce SDK

Built on top of the DDC, the NFT Commerce SDK allows developers to offer your customers curated experiences through NFTs, such as exclusive content, event tickets, or memberships.

Bounties

As Cere Network and Cere IO continue to make new releases, the Cere EDP community will continue to explore these new territories together as well.

EDP drives community engagement primarily through Bounty campaigns. These campaigns will offer many opportunities to learn, share, and contribute to the Cere Network ecosystem.

Some examples of incentivized bounties might include the posting of 🧵's and YouTube video bounties, or various technical bounties that help us secure the Cere Network, improve or add features, and solve real-world problems.

The best will have additional opportunities to move up the leaderboard, unlocking new potential along the way. Perks include accessing project grants and sponsorships, CERE token rewards, event participation packages, and the ultimate reward 👉 an invitation to join the ranks as a Cere Network community OG 😎.

More details in the Bounties section.

OGs

Everyone in the community can participate. Elite contributors earn the ability to get early access to support and resources around the validator node pool, community admins and MODs, github project comitters, and sometimes Cere Network colleagues!

We call these elite leads in our community OG as in original-gansgsta. They are responsible for helping at all levels of the community. We couldn't work without them and they can often get paid for their work. You'll see them around and know it when you do.

In the future, OGs will also be a major source of any DAOs the Cere EDP community might initiate around the EDP program. Stay tuned!
