Is this currently useful for a pre-alpha proof-of-concept UI?

Just curious, I have a project that would benefit from using Fabulous V2 and I'm not worried about bugs, corner cases, etc, just want something basic I can architect around and use with other devs, not in production.

Are y'all at a useful point here for that kind of early integration, with my expectation that there will be bugs and API instability? Or should I just wait?

Yes, you can use it for prototyping today. We're not production-ready yet, but it's stable enough so you shouldn't encounter too many bugs.

@edgarfgp can share his experience. He's been porting an app from v1 to v2, meant for production in the coming weeks/months

Wow, this is "fabulous" news! I did the whole adding-your-github-nuget source bit, and even figured out how to get the template installed and made a new project using it. But there is clearly some missing step, as it can't find VerticalStackLayout so I cannot compile the sample project I started with. This seems to be an MAUI thing (which is the entire point of using Fab2 for me) and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to resolve, as it's not explicitly referenced in the generated App.fs file. Do I have to manually install some super-special NuGet package for that? Note that I'm using Fabulous==2.0.0-nightly-1900461316.

Oh sorry, guess the template is broken. Will fix that.

For now, Fabulous v2 only targets Xamarin.Forms.
Support for MAUI will come later, after it goes GA (around //Build in May-June I guess)

@JustinWick Sorry for. the delayed response . I can safely said I was able t o migrate my app to V2.

• The android navigation performance has really been improved
• new SwiftUI like DSL is much easy to work
• New Dark mode built in for Images, Colors . really helps
• Animation exposed as extensions methods helps the need to use ViewRef

Overall really happy with the new version . Let me know if you have any specific question :)
