This is a summary of user stories derived from feedback that @pdhange@redhat.com shared after reviewing the initial set of Dashboard specs / proposals (Cluster, Host, Volume, Brick dashboard specs):

As a Gluster admin, I want to compare one or more metrics for all volumes in a single Gluster cluster (in a single view/page/dashboard):

  • As a Gluster admin, I want to see a list of all volumes in a Gluster cluster that includes capacity utilization information, capacity utilization trend to understand it’s growth trend, along with growth projection and time (in weeks) remaining for when the volumes reach full capacity.
  • As a Gluster admin, I want to compare IOPS and throughput trends for each volume in a Cluster cluster.
  • As a Gluster admin, I want to see a list of bricks in a Gluster volume that includes capacity utilization information, capacity utilization trend to understand it’s growth trend, along with growth projection and time (in weeks) remaining for when the bricks reach full capacity — in order to see which bricks growing faster.

As a Gluster admin, I want to see the capacity utilization trends of the top 5 most utilized volumes.

As a Gluster admin, I would like to see memory consumption and cpu utilization (optional) for the brick process.

Host dashboard - include Gluster version for the host would be helpful

Volume dashboard - include "Volume Type" would be helpful, and may also help with conditional settings for alerts (related to status/health) and/or thresholds

Is this still relevant?

@r0h4n This was based on user feedback.

The ones we don't easily cover with the existing dashboards are the following (note: the data exists, but user would have to assemble the dashboard him/herself to do this except for the Gluster version and volume type which show up in the Tendrl UI):
