As per gluetun's dev suggestion here:
qdm12/gluetun#765 (comment)

add the following line:

  • BLOCK_MALICIOUS=off

here

- HEALTH_VPN_DURATION_INITIAL=120s

Explanation:

Gluetun bundles a recursive caching DNS resolver called unbound for handling domain name requests securely. Over time the cache size, which rests in RAM, can balloon to gigabytes.

Gluetun's lead dev is working on replacing unbound entirely but until then, just disable it and maybe use the during-use-only DNS provided by your VPN.
