It would be great if there was a toggle in the settings where Newpipe becomes into an audio player only. I understand that I can long press and select play audio, but I would be cool if I can select any video and it plays the audio version of it.
Why do you want this feature?
The reason is because I use this app while driving and need to make sure it only plays the Audio version of the video without much effort from my end so I can stay in line with local laws.
Additional information
LibreTube (a fork of New pipe) has this feature but unfortunately that app is super unstable from my personal use.

Hello, first of all, I want to say thank you to the NewPipe team for the effort and time they have invested in this app, it is awesome. In the Settings > Video and audio menu, there are 3 fields - "Default resolution", "Default popup resolution" and "Limit resolution when using mobile data". I wonder if there could be an option such as "Audio only" for example, in all 3 settings menus, and this option will make it that only audio is playing instead of the video. For me this feature will turnthe NewPipe into audio/music/podcast app, and will help out with data saving for limited plans for example. I will include the menu I have referenced as an image.
