state pane does not consistently update

I'm referring to the pane in the upper-right corner.

When connecting to a remote kernel, the display does not immediately update, and does not update while stepping the agent from the remote application.

Changing to one of the other tabs in the same pane and changing back to the state pane does cause it to update and continue to update thereafter, so this is the workaround for now.

Also, sometimes the pane will show output unrelated to the command result it's supposed to be printing. In my test, it prepended --> 10 decision cycles executed. 215 rules fired. , which is part of the previous run command:
