^Bad class definition If you're coding for UT2003 or another game using the same or a newer engine, keep in mind that the deprecated "expands" keyword isn't supported anymore; use "extends" instead.
^Superclass (\S+) of class \S+ not found The compiler wasn't able to find the specified superclass $1 of your class.\nIf it's not a typo, make sure the package containing the superclass is listed in your project's dependencies.
^Unexpected end of file at end of Class The most common cause for this error is a missing closing brace "}" or a superfluous opening brace "{" somewhere.
^Unexpected end of Else in \w+ block When using loops (while, do, for, foreach) as the Else code of an If statement, the entire Else block must be enclosed in braces.

^[^:]+: Bad command or expression The compiler is unable to recognize the given term as a valid command or expression.
^Redefinition of \S+ differs from original When overwriting functions in a subclass, the function's prototype (the number and type of its arguments) must match the original function.
^Function \S+ specifiers differ from original The most common cause for this error is an attempt to overwrite a function declared as "final" in a subclass.
^\S+ conflicts with \S+ You can have only one function of the same name within the same state of a class, and you can't have variables and functions with the same name in the same class at all.\nRename or remove one of the conflicting identifiers.
^Can't call instance functions from within static functions Static functions can only call other static functions.\nCheck if your function really needs to be static or whether you forgot to declare the other function as static.
^Enums can only be declared in class or struct scope Like the message says: Enumerations can't be declared in functions or operators.
^Variable declaration: (\S+) already defined You tried to declare two variables with the same name, $1, in the same function.
^Expression has no effect Non-function expressions in void context (outside an assignment or a function call) are invalid.
^Unrecognized member (\S+) in class (\w+) The compiler wasn't able to find a variable or function called $1 in class $2. Check for typos.
^Unrecognized type \S+ The class, enum or struct you wanted to use is not declared or not visible from this point. Check for typos.
^Unknown member (\S+) in struct (\S+) The compiler wasn't able to find a struct member called $1 in your definition of struct $2. Check for typos.
^Type mismatch in \S+ The variable type you specified doesn't match the type the operatore requires and can't be automatically casted to the required type.\nEither do an explicit typecast to a supported type, or use a different operator.
^Type mismatch in If The condition of an "if" statement must evaluate to a boolean value.\nCheck whether you accidentally used "=" instead of "==" in your expression, or explicitely typecast it to bool.
^Bool arrays are not allowed Unfortunately, bool arrays aren't supported by the engine.\nUse a byte array instead.
^Can only assign individual \S+, not \S+ arrays You tried to assign an array to another array; the engine doesn't support that.\nIf you have to, assign the arrays' elements one by one in a "for" loop.
^Cast from (\S+) to (\S+) will always fail You're attempting to perform a typecast which will always fail because the class you're casting to, $2, is not a subclass of the variable's class, $1.
^Cast from \S+ to \S+ is unneccessary|^No need to cast \S+ to itself You're attempting to perform a typecast to a superclass of the variable's class, or you're trying to typecast an expression to the type it evaluates in anyway.\nGet rid of the unnecessary typecast.

^Missing ; in struct Your struct declaration is missing a ";" character at the end of one or more lines.
^Invalid property or function call on a dynamic array Only the following properties and functions are supported for dynamic arrays:\nLength: Sets or returns the number of array elements.\nInsert(index, number): Inserts the given number of new, empty array elements starting at the given index.\nRemove(index, number): Removes the given number of array elements starting at the given index.
^Illegal character in name Names (enclosed in single quotes) can only contain alphanumerical characters, dots and underscores.\nIf you actually meant to use a string value, enclose it in double quotes.
^Missing ; before The most common cause for this error is an attempt to return a value from a function that doesn't have a return value type in its declaration.
^Failed loading package The compiler wasn't able to load the specified package.
^Unknown property in defaults One of the variables you attempted to set in the "defaultproperties" section doesn't exist in the current class. (The compiler reports this error both in parsing and compiling stage.)\nIf you're coding for Unreal Tournament or another game using the same engine, keep in mind that no blanks are allowed around the "=" sign.
^ObjectProperty \S+\.([^.:]+): unresolved reference to ([^']+)'([^']+)' The compiler wasn't able to find the $2 object named $3 you tried to set the $1 variable to in the "defaultproperties" section.
^Import Texture \S+ The compiler wasn't able to import the texture from the file you specified.\nCheck for typos, and keep in mind that your project directory is the base directory for file specifications here.

^Class names shouldn't end in a digit Class names ending in a digit might result in misleading actor names in UnrealEd.
^(\w+) : unreferenced local variable The compiler found that the local variable "$1" is declared but never used in the containing function.\nYou might as well remove it if you don't need it.
^(\w+) obscures (\w+) defined in base class (\w+) The variable, struct or enum "$1" you declared hides a variable, struct or enum of the same name which was declared in the class $3 already.\nThe obscured base class member can no longer be accessed from within the scope of the newly declared member. You might be accidently accessing the new member instead of the obscured one.
^(\w+): Missing return value According to its declaration, the function $1 returns a value, but its code doesn't contain any Return statement.\nThe function will return a null value (empty string, 0, None, false, etc.) if you don't add a Return statement.
