I have a mendel-parts 100k thermistor in my bed, and an arcol 200k thermistor in my hot end.

There appears to be no way to specify different tables for different thermistors, so I have to set my bed to 70c in order for it to actually go for 55c...

Agreed!

Also - it should be documented in the settings gcode, how to use the thermistor lookup, since it's not the same as sprinter which can have more than 20 entries.

I found the documentation for the lookup table sufficient, if not explicit about that particular point.

you mean on reprap.org? I was referring to having it in the file, like the ramps13.gcode (no reason NOT to document it there)
