I am trying to visualize the results of ICP between 2 clouds. When I open the results in pcl_viewer I get the result on the left (which is bogus because my ICP error is going down and things converge nicely).
If I convert the .pcd's to .ply's and display them with MeshLab, they look like on the right (closer to 2 properly registered clouds). So it is not the .pcd format, but the visualizer I guess.

@nizar-sallem, I could give you the .pcds if you want to have a look please.

Hi @nizar-sallem,

any news on this one? Is someone working on a patch we could get into 1.7?

@aichim is this related to #116? Can you try it with current master?

I think this is related to the fact that one of my clouds had this viewpoint

VIEWPOINT 0 0 0 1 0 0 0
and the other
VIEWPOINT 0 0 0 0 1 0 0

#179 should solve it.
