How to add microbiome IDs/species name to individual DataNodes as datasource ?! #47

Currently, we do not have a solid scheme how to add microbiome data to a pathway.
For the collaborative LIPID MAPS project, we currently have the following idea for annotations (other ideas are welcome @susancoort @dygdedesener @mkutmon ):

Microbial Protein - regular Protein DataNode can be used; preferred annotation is UniProt. Note that different strains can be recorded in UniProt for the same bacteria protein name, but also for different bacteria species. If the primary literature does not clearly indicate which strain or species is meant, add all individual strains+species with a new Protein DataNode (using the same label); visually show the difference by adding a “rectangle” state on these DataNodes with a colour, which can be added to the legend to explain further.
Try to add provenance on the specific species on the DataNode, if known. If no identifiers are listed in UniProt, add the species name to the comment section of the DataNode. See example:
