Updates from email thread:

  • Title: What we're learning about Hub Cloud costs for Earth science workflows
  • Date: Tuesday, March 25,
  • Time: 9:30-10:30 or 10-11, during our normal cloud-infrastructure hackday time
  • there is a lot of interest in cloud costs for science workflows and that's what we've been working on, it would feel good to share!
  • The 25-min prepared-but-casual conversation could be designed as a fishbowl where Julie facilitates pre-set questions that Andy, Alex/Sarge, and Yuvi/Jenny each respond to for ~5 mins each (slides/demo welcome), and we ask each other a few questions before opening it to audience.
  • Alex and Sargent to answer questions about OpenScienceLab on behalf of ASF, and ASF's chief scientist, Franz Meyer to join us if he can.
  • for folks not presenting, helping us spread the word and asking questions/discussion during the call would be super
  • we can share this info with the ESDSWG community asynchronously via the recording and notes in a short blog post
