I created this template back in November and put on a date field. It keeps that date in november, the 25th and it never changes it whenever I use it.
Expected Behavior
I would expect that it changes to todays current day. This is pretty common behavior and probably what most people would expect. If this is the intended behavior I would suggest adding a feature of an option on date for "Auto-populate with current date". Wouldn't seem too hard to do but dates are funky.

Steps to reproduce
I just created a template and dragged on the "date" field. Then I hit use. I would assume as long as its one day or more since creation you would see that the date is not updating to the current date.

I'll clarify that I do see that there is a date picker on the date field when you're using the template, however the default is that it uses the created date when I would guess that most people would want that to be today's date.
I think perhaps GaganUppaldev's comments are meant for andrew other collaborators. If it's for me, I'll say that I'm just using app.opensignlabs.com, and am not self hosting this. I'm also not using the api, just the web interface.
