Only BDRip for HEVC encoding is discussed here.

Subset fonts do not take effect

I noticed that although the Matroska file of Movie has some subset of fonts embedded in it, the embedded subtitle files does not have corresponding processing, so playing the file directly does not produce the expected effect.

The following images were captured using the latest version of MPC-HC with the Use libass for SSA/ASS option enabled.

The effect of playing files directly without installing related fonts is as follows:

The effect after installing the fonts in the font package included with BDRip:

Bonus video distorts during playback

I noticed that the Making Documentary Bonus has a resolution of 1920x816, but when played it seems to automatically warp to 16:9.

This can be reproduced using the latest versions of MPC-HC and mpv.

  1. I will check the font subsetting issuse later, now I can’t reproduced it on mpv and MPC-BE with VSFilter.
  2. Making Documentary specified incorrect parameters during muxing. You can wait for the revision I maybe release later, or use MKVToolNix to edit the Video display height in the video header.
