Sorry, but It seems that the problem is still present when sending audio with UPnP. I have tested with BubbleUPnP and Mconnect on smartphone from Qobuz.
The 44100 file is playing fine. The Diana Krall 192 kHz file (size 151.9 MiB) will stop after a few seconds. I have also re-checked total memory and specific memory used by both mpd and upmpdcli. Both are low (around max 150 MB for mpd) The version of curl is 8.5.0 |

It has been reported that the problem could be in this section of mpd code:

Here on Archlinux fully updated and mpd version 0.23.15
Last Archlinux official kernel 6.6.8
If I play locally a long song (as Glenn Gould Bach Goldberg variations but also shorter ones) it stops after around 10s
Tested with systemd user and also systemd root service.
No errors shown if started on terminal with the verbose option.
In the log instead I see:
exception: CURL failed: Out of memory
Buffer is not set in mpd.conf
System memory is not full
