Windows Subsystem for Linux

Lets you run a GNU/Linux environment on Windows without virtual machine (e.g. VirtualBox) or dual-boot setup.

Notes

Turn Windows features on and off -> Enable Windows Subsystem for Linux -> Restart -> Install Ubuntu for Windows
