I'm having a similar problem, I've been using Latex for a few days and today it gave an error similar to this one, don't put any code different from the usual, it just gave this error and it doesn't want to work anymore. On his way out he says: Reverting Windows console CPs to (in,out) = (850.65001) |

I just installed MiKTeX 22.1 on my MacBook Pro running macOS 12.5.1. The installation seemed straightforward. I selected my private space for the final installation steps, and I did an immediate update to ensure I have the latest packages. However, I can't compile any documents. It looks like MikTeX is trying to build pdflatex.fmt, which I assume has something to do with the freshness of this installation. Here is what the pdflatex.log file says:
I assume this is supposed to work automatically, yes? I don't know what I need to do to take care of this issue. Note that /Users/peter/bin is in my path.
Thanks!
