Environment

Master (latest PR #5784) (this issue is dates back to early 49.19 minimum though)
Java 17
Linux

Description

This issue is intermittent, and does not persist through saves.

On occasion, some or all of the units in a battle will turn black, unless they are faced in a certain direction. When faced in this direction, the unit will look normal. When they face any other direction, they will become pure black (except for damage markings). This affects ground battles with mechs as well, I just happen to have screenshots of it happening in space.

I don't have much to add, but I ran into this in current master branch yesterday and I haven't been able to trigger it again. Also on Linux.

It's very infrequent. I spend a lot of time playing MM/MHQ and I still only see it maybe once a couple weeks or so.
