Some layers are not being displayed

In the Layers pages I can click View on site and it works for the layers that do show up in the map layers. the layers that do not show up in the list have this type of error:

They do show up in the Geoserver Layer Preview.

No Layer matches the given query.

You're seeing this error because you have DEBUG = True in your Django settings file. Change that to False, and Django will display a standard 404 page.
