[FEATURE-REQUEST] Disable/Enable devices/entities

Hi,

do not know why I see this way just now, but enabling/disabling devices or their entities for exposure to matter controllers in the device list is maybe just easier for the user than black listening things in the plugins. This way all plugins also would possibly benefit from that feature automatically.

(whitelist imho still has some value).

Totally fine! It's your project! Do what ever you think is needed first. I just try to help by asking for features. :-) Please do not feel any pressure by that. I anyway do not expect you do anything I propose and also not immediately and all at once. The progress here is anyway mind blowing.

Run my test environment with latest dev branches (matterbridge and shelly plugin) with edge mode now. Did not saw anything special in the logs. Also found no info that it is running in with edge. Is there something I should look for? Just started it with "mattergridge -edge".

I published today 2.0.0 with only edge so if you update to it, there will be only the new system.

Hi @Luligu, sry for late response. Did not had much time last week. Managed switch to HAOS today. On that way I lost the my shelly plugin config. Seems it was not part of the backup or I forgot to activate on backup replay on the new system.

I must say, that reconfiguring it from scratch was very easy now with all the features of the past month. Thanks again for all your effort you put in the plugin to improve the situation.

Reconfiguring things in Alexa is still a pain ...

V2.0.0 with edge and 1.4.4 with the shelly plugin works as expected. Do not see any issues yet.

The selects to configure all are actually great improvement.

The config is matterbridge-shelly.config.json in .matterbridge directory.

Working on 2.1.0 (due for 1/2/2025) with all legacy matter.js removed so smaller and faster and less memory requirements.

Unfortunately is very complex to deploy cause I need to publish all plugins in the same time. There will not be any back compatibility with other older versions due to removal of old matter.js api.

Alexa... I used it to test 2.1.0 and actually I agree with you :)
All is good with 1 device type for device and no child endpoints... in the other cases is very unpleasant Alexa.
