Reading OpenXR-Loader's CMake script, it seems like only Linux has SO versioned libraries.
Many other unix platforms also support some form of versioning.
Dylib libraries on macOS also provides versioning.

An issue (number 2445) has been filed to correspond to this issue in the internal Khronos GitLab (Khronos members only: KHR:openxr/openxr#2445 ), to facilitate working group processes.
