Importing from other Designers

wxUiEditor can import projects from other wxWidgets designers as well as from a Windows Resource File (created by Visual Studio). You can import one or more projects at once into a new project, or you can import and append a project into an existing open project. The following project file types can be imported:

• wxCrafter (Click here for more information)
• wxFormBuilder (Click here for more information)
• wxGlade
• wxSmith (CodeBlocks)
• DialogBlocks (see discussion below)
• XRC
• Windows Resource Dialogs (Click here for more information)

Work is under way to import the .pjd file that DialogBlocks can save. Once completed, this will be the preferred project file to import, as the exported XRC file loses quite a bit of information about the project. Until this work is completed, you will need to export your DialogBlocks project as an XRC file before it can be imported.
