Here is a list of TODOs that I think would be useful to make the codebase easier to work with

  • Use a standard formatter (anything automated is fine)
  • CI tests
  • Switch to standard python logging
  • Create a pypi package
  • Switch to pyproject.toml from setup.py (Switch to pyproject.toml #167)

Agree on all!
At some point there was a start on the CI tests, and there is a pypi package, but both need a lot of work.

I will also work on this as soon as I can. I would love to be able to drop the beagleconnect fork and just use this directly.

Not part of your task list, but I'd like to contribute a container image build via GitHub Actions CI, see #169
