How to calculate $\Delta x = \Delta \frac{L}{P^{0.5}}$

I see the book show

it seem not make sense calcualte $\Delta x$
$$\Delta x = \Delta \frac{L}{P^{0.5}}$$

just prices in a pool are reciprocals of each other.
