• an NIH grant "The Harvard Dataverse repository: A generalist repository integrated with a Data Commons",
  • Aim 4: Improve harvesting and packaging standards to share metadata and data across repositories,

The pre-requisite for this work is: 8574 Spike: Inventory and prioritize existing Harvesting related issues

More info:

Len has thus far gotten the sense from the NIH team that they will want to get the various data repository teams to work on this together. By working on the pre-req we will know how far we will need to go and what might be left that we don't know about yet in order to achieve the interoperability that they are seeking.
