Overview of the Feature Request
The new button should copy the citation text in the same form as shown in the citation area (without formatting in a special citation standard). At the moment there is only the funtionialty to download the formated citation.
The new clipboard-button should be somewhere in the blue citation area (see screenshot for mockup).

A similiar clipboard-button is already implemented for the file MD5 checksum, see screenshot.

That'd be great, I'm surprised there were no issues on this.
I'm wondering if it makes sense to do it in the old UI as it is just quality of life or wether it should go straight into the new Single Page Application

I would prefer that we implement this in the SPA, the new React code. @CB-HAL what do you think? Do you want to create this issue over at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse-frontend like @DS-INRA is saying?

There is no hurry, SPA is ok.
