Change font color and edit scss

Hi,

I am a bit confused as to how to edit wowchemy. I have updated my site since years and everything seems to have moved under assets. I have added a custom scss as assets/scss/custom.scss with the following content

html{
    color: rgba(1,1,0,1) !important;
}

However my font colors are not changing. From the examples on the repo I am not getting how to edit the font color. I have tried editing the toml with varationts on font color and everything in between. Is there a tut somewhere, or directions in general to edit scss files for wowchemy

my toml contains

Colors in general can be changed with color themes.

For font colors in general you've to go through the scss for the specific parts you want to change.

Your attempt should work. Remember that browsers are very good at caching css, so try emptying the browser cache when changing style related stuff.

Thanks for the background! I had to change my path to assets/scss/custom.css and it started working.

Is there any way to control the font coloring for changing odd and even pages in main? i.e. flip the coloring in home_section_odd/even. Thanks in advance!
