One image instead of slider

How can I show a single picture between top menu navigation and hero section with same dimensions like in the slider widget but without the arrows to change to next or previous picture

Well, thats not exactly what I wanted to achieve.
Did you mean to insert an additional section without any content applying the image as a background image there ?

Meanwhile I inerted an extra section but the image doesn't show in 100%-width like in the slider widget.
How could I achieve that the image is displayed like in the slider widget ?
