I think, on iPad, neither modalPresentationStyle = .pageSheet nor modalPresentationStyle = .formSheet do work with a heroModalAnimationType like for example .pageIn(direction: .up).

I'm using Hero 0.3.6.

Sorry, those presentation styles are not supported.
