The ' character is available via the popup on the . key. It's then as far away as possible within the popup
Describe the solution you'd like
Please provide a description of what you would like to have. The clearer it is described, the better it can be implemented the way you want it.
(May be dealt with in the UI updates)
Move the ' character to a position that reflects it's use frequency - closer to the key that pops it up.
Even better, with swipe text entry have a swipe that passes through the . key on the way to the s key return a 's to the text field. (As used to happen with Swype)
