this issue require more thought and collaboration with frontend
currently we have everyone sign waivers for HackRU so we don't get severely sued. Unfortunately we have everyone sign these on paper before the event. It would be nice if we could use some kind of e-signing api (like docusing) at some point to make sure they have signed the waivers. The goal would be to have it require them to sign the waiver before being accepted and we can have all of the waivers in some kind of s3 bucket.
pdfs in an s3 bucket, or at least pdfs in some kind of folder, is a hard requirement for compliance reasons and is part of a solution that was mostly approved by legal.
this doesn't have to use the docusign api per se, and the PL can triage the priority of this. It would be nice to have and would help simplify check in a bit
