Updated API to refer to root spans everywhere.
As an additional note - the interface and implementation of
ChildSpanandRootSpanare identical, however they may diverge if the implementation details of each change locations in the future. I wouldn't be against merging them, if anyone feels strongly about doing so then please let me know.
