Hi,
installation has worked perfectly on my 2 laptops, but throws an error when I try it on my tower. I get to choose the themes I want, but then when I select one (or many) I get an error :

error: 5:expected value

Usage:
dconf write KEY VALUE

Write a new value to a key

Arguments:
KEY A key path (starting, but not ending with '/')
VALUE The value to write (in GVariant format)

I use Ubuntu 16.04 Mate, and have dconf-cli installed. Thanks in advance for the help.

I am sorry to reanimate this old ticket, but... I've got the same error. You said it should be fixed and in your link it is written that your tool should work with

mate-terminal | Ubuntu 18.04

which is exactly what I am using.

lsb_release -a
LSB Version:	core-9.20170808ubuntu1-noarch:printing-9.20170808ubuntu1-noarch:security-9.20170808ubuntu1-noarch
Distributor ID:	Ubuntu
Description:	Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS
Release:	18.04
Codename:	bionic
dpkg -l | grep terminal
ii mate-terminal 1.20.0-4

But it does not matter which theme I choose from the list, the error is always the same:

`error: 5:expected value

Usage:
dconf write KEY VALUE

Write a new value to a key

Arguments:
KEY A key path (starting, but not ending with '/')
VALUE The value to write (in GVariant format)`
