A buffer with 4 fluid slots and 9 item slots.

You can click the red 'x' below the fluid slot to clear the slot.

It can be useful when you want to distribute the item and fluid ingredients to different places. (like auto-craft the Assembling Line recipe in GregTech)
ME Dual Interface will send all ingredients to the buffer first and then you can distribute its contents.
